Olivia and her boy project

Olivia leaves her family's horse ranch and drives her farm truck three hours away, to college. She plans to spend freshman year keeping her eyes on her schoolwork and her job at the observatory and off boys. Even the best-laid plans with the best intentions are no match for fate, however. She meets sophomore pitching phenom Brax within her first steps on campus, and from then on the boy from south Boston is part of her first semester experience. This is a fun book and the writing, with a few typos and word selection quirks (early on her interest in the observatory is called 'astrology'), goes down smooth. Always fun to read about life in Texas.

Not an original story. I felt I already read it just with different character names. That said it was pretty predictable, too. What bothered me the most is all the physical fighting done by Braxton and destruction of Olivia’s car was without legal consequence. How come nobody went to the police?

Definitely a Keeper

The title almost kept me from buying this book. So glad I got to know this stupid girl. Loved the story line. The author captured and kept my attention. I even told my daughter about this great book I was reading!!!
